Why College Athletes Should Be Paid
Why College Athletes Should Be PaidThis sample of summary essay on why college athletes should be paid should be read by all college coaches, all college administrators, and any other adults who have a hand in choosing a scholarship athlete. This is the conclusion to an article written by the author. The athletes at Division I schools are doing a great job of protesting against the way the NCAA does business, and that is where this article is going. However, there is more to the argument than that, and the question here becomes whether the NCAA or the teams that they administer should give them money for playing. The money could go towards getting them scholarships, which would solve the problem. What the schools currently are doing is an unwise financial decision. The best answer here would be to keep up the protest until the NCAA gives these students money so they can pay for their school fees.Let's take a look at the main point of this article. That is to ask the question: 'Why coll ege athletes should be paid to play?' The answer is simple: they shouldn't be. They should be paid in a system that benefits everybody involved. The players should be paid a stipend for every game that they are in, or at least for every game that they play in. Those games would no longer be 'charity' games, since they would have to be part of the overall program. This would certainly make the team look better in the eyes of college coaches. There would be no doubt that these guys were willing to take this offer, if given the chance. To the extent that they were willing to do so, the basketball players and football players should get paid with cash. College athletes who chose to play sports at a Division I school should not be burdened with heavy debt for playing. They should have the chance to play their favorite sport while making an income. There shouldn't be anything stopping the athletes from leaving college early and playing professionally. There should be a limit to how much mone y would be paid to college athletes, but that limit should be low enough to avoid even the student athletes from taking full advantage of it. The final argument here is that college athletes should be allowed to choose how much money they would like to make after college.College athletes should have the opportunity to make a living once they leave school. If the NCAA continues to punish the players for the behavior of others, that should be the end of it.
